Really interesting analysis. I never considered that neurotech companies could follow the Big Tech model of offering the product for free and turning it's users into the real product...

It may be more helpful to think of "mental privacy" as a necessary feature, which enables us to think in abstract, imaginary ways. We get good and bad results, I admit.

Maybe the concept of "mental privacy" is a flaw in our highly evolved intellect and consciousness?

Can't it be argued that mental privacy is where we become hypocritical, sneaky, duplicitous, and politically or even religiously conniving? Just food for thought. I'd be interested in what others think.
